The above pictures show a 65 Strat® that appeared for auction on eBay® about a year ago. The Strat® was owned by Andy Marshall of THD Electronics®. Andy bought it in this mangled condition, and kept it like that for three years. He debated sending it to me to work on and in the end decided to “eBay” it. Andy’s explanation as to why he didn’t send it to me… “I still wanted to be considered your friend so I decided to sell it.” Ironically it was bought by a customer of mine named Jim. Small world eh? Anyway I call this one Leo meets the “Butcher”!
Now pay attention all you lawyerly inclined folks out there, because this is the only time I’m gonna do this during the course of this particular article:
The term “Strat”® is a registered trademark of Fender Musical Instruments Incorporated. Superior Guitar Works is in no way affiliated with Fender Musical Instruments. Ditto for eBay® being a registered trademark of whatever corporate entity owns those guys. Superior Guitar Works Inc. is in no way affiliated with the eBay folks either. There, that should keep the lawyers happy. Oh yeah, and this article all its pictures and in fact this entire site is © Copyright 2014 by Superior Guitar Works Incorporated.
How come the legal stuff is longer than the caption? How did I do Mr. Roper?
